Samuel L. Erwin

Sam Erwin is executive vice president and director of regional banking for First Horizon Corporation, with ultimate responsibility for all commercial, retail and private banking.

Erwin joined First Horizon in 2016. Previously, he served as chairman, president and CEO of The Palmetto Bank in Greenville, South Carolina. Erwin subsequently served as a regional president with United Community Bank after The Palmetto Bank was acquired by United Community Bank.

Erwin is involved in a wide variety of civic and professional organizations including serving on the board of the Federal Reserve in Charlotte, The Hollingsworth Funds, where he serves as a board member and vice-chair, and the Business Development Corporation of South Carolina, where he is a board member. He is also a board member and Audit Committee Chair for Habitat for Humanity of Greenville.

Erwin is a Liberty Fellowship graduate and a cum laude graduate of Clemson University.
